As every serious Club, the "Ritrovo Toscano della Pipa" has its Pipe of the Year: in 2004, Maestro Corsellini was entrusted with this hard task and he exalted himself with a wonderful classic shape you can admire here beside in all its magnificence.

During 2005, at the beginning of February, on "Ritrovo Toscano della Pipa" own Forum, www.toscopipa.com, the debate for the making of the 2006 Pipe was held, starting with presupposition not to be disregarded: TUSCAN!

The discussion between
the associates about the characteristics the pipe
should have became interesting:

A red and black rusticated Oom Paul. Tosca should possess beauty in that it's a beautiful woman seemingly fragile, hiding a Nemesis deranging strenght, so: beautiful, elegant, almost a "soirèe" or Opera pipe, gentle, passionate, gay and tragic, tall and slender, black haired in that it's latin.

The debate is followed by Maestro Corsellini first sketches.

This first phase was followed by a long discussion, with even internal polls between the various models: in the end the choice was the "Pisana", the second sketch, unusual shape resembling the Pisa Tower slope. Pretty unique the choice of the associates to personally choose and buy the briar blocks at the saw-mill and bring them to the artisan. In the end the prototype was made and Claudio Rampini "The King" was entrusted to make the first tests.
